Karisa

I was born in Utah and moved to Houston when I was 8.  I have 9 siblings and love big families.   I participated in a traveling dance company and also was a co-captain on our high school flag line.  I also performed in my HS choir and had the opportunity to sing with them at the National Cathedral and the Kennedy Center.  I love the outdoors, but need to clarify that I love to be out side hiking, fishing, skiing, running, etc., however, I love to be in a nice soft bed at night!  I love to run and have trained and run in several road races over the last five years.  I have been growing a photography business for the last 5 years as well.  I love the opportunity to meet new families and be able to capture their images and create great memories for years to come.

I coached an elementary running club for our son, James, and since our new move to Denver, I am trying to find a way to bring the program here.  I love to be able to spend time with him doing something that we both enjoy.  Adaley and I love to cook together (which is why I run so much).  I truly treasure the moments that I get to teach her how to work with food and just spend time with her.  When I do have down time (haha) I enjoy reading and finding new music to add to my itunes collection.  I have been blessed with two great kids that I love tremendously and find it such an honor to be able to have the faith and trust of their birth moms to be their mom.

I met David in Flagstaff, AZ and we really became great friends.  We had a great friendship and then we both realized that we were becoming more than friends.  We were married in Dallas, TX in 1996.  He is the yin to my yang.  I truly love and need the balance that he gives me and our family.  He does such a wonderful job of telling me just how much he loves me and I am so grateful for the blessing that he is to me in my life.  He is the father that any kid dreams about!  I do not know of a better dad.  We love to do many things together like cooking, and eating, running, watching movies, traveling, riding motorcycles, and being out doors.  Most of all we can just be together doing nothing and we are happy.
