First Day of School

Summer went by way too fast! The kids and I had a great time, and now it is time to start a new adventure.  Adaley has begun kindergarten!  I picked her up from her first day today and it hit me, that I don't have any more days of just hanging out with her anymore.  She is now on her way to school, growing up way too fast, and not hanging with her mama anymore!  I am a little sad.  Today at school the teacher allowed all of the parents to come into the classroom and say good buy.  She read a story to the kids and then asked if any of the kids were a little nervous.  Addy raised her hand and said that she was a little freaked out!  (Of course, every parent in there started laughing, which just encouraged her more) I was in the back of the classroom laughing too.  She did great and her favorite thing was to go outside and have her snack under a tree and then play on the playground.  I just love this little girl!

James was not quite as excited, but he still had a great time, I think that his favorite part of the day was when I surprised him with a LEGO Ninjago t-shirt which he proudly wore.  He is such a LEGO kid. He will sit for hours and build all kinds of creations.  I am amazed at how his mind works.
I am sad that these great milestones are happening so fast.  These two kids are such an amazing blessing in our lives and I can not imagine not having them part of our family!  Thank you, again, and again to their AMAZING birth moms we love you so much!

4th of July

We had a great time at Uncle Doug's for the 4th.  We swam and grilled hamburgers that were at least 1lb each (Thanks uncle Doug!)  I can not even begin to describe the great food that we ate that day.  After swimming we went to another friend of ours and ate more and played even more.  Our friend is a collector of old fire engines and he took all of us for a ride in one of them.  I am so grateful for such great family and friends, they truly are a blessing.

Rocky Mountain National Park

We decided to take the kids up to RMNP for the weekend in June for a quick trip to spend some family time together.  We had a fun time, mini golfing and riding a "little" slide.  The kids and I had a great time hiking and exploring.  James tried really hard to fall into the river too!  I truly love being outdoors and enjoying all that God has blessed us with.  I think that I am truly at home in the mountains.  However I should qualify this, I love being outdoors, AND I love being able to sleep in a soft bed with a hot shower and running water at night!  Translate that into... CONDO Camping!  Love it!

Summer Fun at the Park

So we did not go anywhere very incredible this summer, just kept busy with track, swimming at Uncle Doug's and playing with cousins and great friends.  I thought that it was a great summer.  I am actually a little sad that summer is over and we are now officially in school.  Bummer huh!  Below are a few pics of some of our little adventures.  Hope you all enjoy.
Addy playing with her BF riding the train in the park
James with his BF at the back of the train.
The kids and I went with some friends to a local park that had a petting zoo and a cute train that rode around the park.  They had a blast, Addy is really our little animal lover and she is such a calming influence to just about anyone or any animal around her.
