Thank you for the opportunity to share our lives with you. We are aware of this important decision you are about to make and the many questions and choices you face. We would like to tell you how much we love you and pray that you may have strength and comfort in this difficult decision placed before you. We know and are grateful that you want what is best for your baby, and we hope to share with you the love, support and secure life we will give your baby.We would like to begin by describing our relationship, to give you a better idea of the environment in our home. David and I met in college where we became friends. I loved the way we could talk for hours and not be bored. After a while, I knew that I was falling in love with him. Being somewhat stubborn, I tried to hide my feelings but I know that I did not do a very good job. We were married five months later! We share so many hopes, dreams and goals together. We also share many differences that I know help balance our relationship. What I am lacking he makes up for and vice versa. This important part of our relationship helps us to continually grow closer together as a couple. We make each other laugh and are always there to support each other in all areas of life.
We try to always finds a way to make life fun. I love to read to the kids, we try to read a story every night, our favorite collection is called Skippy-Jon Jones, about a little cat that thinks that he is a Chiwawa . David, James, and I like to run together and Adaley will ride in the stroller, I recently volunteered to coach James running club at the Elementary school it was so much fun to be able to run with him. David and I try run in at least two races each year together it is something that we love to do together. We love to play Wii together our favorite game is Just Dance 2 even Adaley will play and this little girl has some rhythm! We love to cook together; James and Adaley love to help in the kitchen and cook and bake with Mama especially when they get to lick the bowl. Adaley gets very excited to watch when I turn on the mixer she will watch the hooks go around and loves it. We love to go out to restaurants and to the movies together. One of David’s favorite pastimes is to wrestle with James and Adaley when he returns home from work. They truly enjoy a lot of daddy time. I just love to watch Adaley try to pull her own weight when tackling James and Daddy. I think that she does it more for all the hugs she gets. We love to go to the mountains together in the summer and explore all the trails. Adaley loves to get in the backpack when the trail is too steep and look at everything around her; you can truly see the peace that is on her face when we are out side. James, however, is everywhere exploring and finding sticks, (he must always have a stick to hike with). He does a very good job at being the dirtiest one out of all of us. David and I enjoy watching this so much. Most of all we try to do as much as we can as a family.
One of the greatest gifts, I think, that we as a family has been to adopt our two wonderful children. I would not trade that experience for anything. To have so many people in our son and daughter’s life that love them so much and not to mention two birth mothers of whom I will be connected to eternally. I love them with all my soul and think about them always. I just cannot express how much I am grateful for the love and the sacrifice that they made to bring these sweet souls to our family.
Please know that as you read through all these profiles and are struggling through your decision, we are praying for you. We as a family pray every night that the Lord will be with the birth mom of our next child and that she will find us. We pray for your peace and ask Him to give you strength.
All our love,
David, Karisa, James & Adaley
